The Perfect Storm

Timing was just right this weekend for some fast top
water action on Buffalo Lake.
There where times during our hour drive up to buffalo
lake that we almost turned around. It seemed as
though storms where all around us. When we arrived at
the lake the rain had just stopped, the lake was dead
calm and you could hear thunder in the distance. We
only had about 4-5 hours before dark and our timing
was perfect.
Bass hit fast moving top water baits all evening. Buzz frogs and buzz baits got the reaction bite and worked better than slow moving scum frogs. IN the end we had 23 fish in the 16-20 inch range. I sure could have used a day like that on Buffalo when I fished a tournament there early this spring!
